YF-23
hey guys back with another upload but this is a neat looking plane the best plane i have ever made so far anyway about the YF-23
The YF-23 was an advanced stealth fighter aircraft developed by Northrop Grumman and McDonnell Douglas in the late 1980s and early 1990s as part of the United States Air Force's Advanced Tactical Fighter (ATF) program. The purpose of the ATF program was to develop a next-generation fighter to replace the F-15 Eagle and counter emerging Soviet threats. Here are some key details about the YF-23:
Design and Development
Prototype Development: Two prototypes were built, designated as YF-23A. The first prototype was nicknamed "Black Widow II" and the second "Gray Ghost."
Stealth Features: The YF-23 incorporated advanced stealth technology to reduce its radar cross-section and enhance its survivability against enemy air defenses. It had a unique diamond-shaped wing and a V-tail configuration.
Engines: The prototypes were powered by different engines for evaluation purposes. The first used Pratt & Whitney YF119 engines, while the second used General Electric YF120 engines.
Performance: The YF-23 was designed to achieve high speeds and long range, with a maximum speed estimated at Mach 2.2 and supercruise capabilities (sustained supersonic flight without afterburners).
Competition and Outcome
ATF Program: The YF-23 competed against the Lockheed YF-22 in the ATF program.
Selection: Despite its advanced design and performance, the YF-23 was not selected. In April 1991, the YF-22 was chosen as the winner of the ATF competition, and it later evolved into the F-22 Raptor.
Reasons for Selection: The selection of the YF-22 over the YF-23 was influenced by various factors, including perceived advantages in maneuverability, avionics, and potential ease of production and maintenance.
Legacy
Prototypes: The two YF-23 prototypes are preserved in museums. One is at the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Ohio, and the other at the Western Museum of Flight in California.
Influence: While the YF-23 did not enter production, its design and technology contributed to the development of future stealth aircraft and have been studied for potential applications in other military programs.
The YF-23 remains a fascinating example of advanced aerospace engineering and a key chapter in the history of military aviation, demonstrating significant innovation in stealth and aerodynamics.

@Zeratick already made it.... guess imm too fast
@KevPlayzz I can help if needed!
@KevPlayzz Glad this could be (hopefully) resolved before things escalated
We're not trying to be mean to you. But whenever there's a situation like this, it's important you give the original builder credit in the description. It's also important you add something of your own to the original build.

😺 @Zeratick @Mahootsfine@Zeratick @Zaineman @Mahoots i willmake my own yf23 soon
@Zeratick yeah the 623 (I'll just call the original build that for simplicity now) is a pretty good build for seeing how to make this stuff work
@Zaineman no, I looked for the 600p YF-23 and compared them before i even looked into the comments to see if anyone else noticed
@Mahoots one of my aircraft the F-23 Gray ghost was made off of it to teach me the basics, Only reason I uploaded it was to send to my friends as I didn't know how to unlist stuff
Noooooooo
@Mahoots Did you click my link ? It's an exact duplicate. 😿
Z
Also both have the exact same stats at least according to the specifications at the bottom of each post description
@Zeratick @Zaineman I confirmed it, I noticed it because of the same open canopy in the editor (I used the 600p YF-23 as a reference for modifying the PEA YF-23 so I was pretty familiar with it)

🥺@dhtv587
@Zeratick yep I've done it too. I think we all have at one point or another. But it's best to add a single line to your description giving credit. Lol
Z
😺@Zaineman guilty of it myself, I infact need to update some of my posts myself
KevPlayzz you should give dhtv587 credit at the beginning of the description
@Zeratick Ouch... you're right...what a shame. All he had to do was give the original builder credit.....

😿@NominalSituation I personally believe it was stolen from this link https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/8lsMtd/YF-23600P, Download both and see for yourself, He took the cockpit out and added his in and released it seems like.
@Zaineman wait, your the greatest psm guy in sp?
This is one of the best YF-23s I've seen on this site, good work! NominalSituation approved.
@KevPlayzz np
@ChaseplaneKLWith1MG thanks brotha
@KevPlayzz Yep
