Description:
Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus was a big theropod dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous about 99 to 93.5 million years ago, it was the longest giant theropod, longer than Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus, but it was smaller compared to them, with a weight of 6,4 to 7,5 tons, It was adapted to an aquatic lifestyle, wich that can explain why it's legs were small compared to it's size.
- Superfamily: Megalosauroidea
- Family: Spinosauridae
- Subfamily: Spinosaurinae
- Tribe: Spinosaurini
Evolution:
Spinosaurids evolved during the Jurassic from a larger group of carnivores called megalosauroids. Over time, they adapted to live in semi-aquatic environments, such as lakes and shorelines, until they adapt to a piscivorous diet. They were not strictly piscivorous, they ocasionally ate other animals when they had the opportunity Like carrion, for example
Paleontological evolution:
Over the years, Spinosaurus had varied changes of images, being one of the dinoasurs that had a lot of changes

Interesting/Fun facts:
- The first remains of Spinosaurus, were found in 1912, being named in 1915 by Ernst Stromer, but in april 24 of 1944, during World War II, there was a bombing in a city where the museum was located, which kept the only remains of Spinosaurus, being destroyed by the bombs.
- At first, it was believed that the small legs belonged to a young spinosaurus, but by studying the bones of the legs, they realized that they corresponded to the age of the remains found
- Spinosaurus wasnt the only giant theropod of it's time, it coexisted with Carcharodontosaurus
- In the premaxilla of the skull, there were holes, it is believed that the holes had Pressure Receptors, this could help Spinosaurus to detect it's prey in the water
- It is not known if it's sail was for thermoregulation, an hydrodynamic dorsal fin or to atract the opposite sex, it is also believed that the sail was for defense, from the sides it looks bigger, wich it could help Spinosaurus to scare other dangerous dinosaurus such as Carcharodontosaurus
- Recent studies says that Spinosaurus wasn't a good swimmer
- The fight between Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus is the most famous dinosaur fight due to Jurassic Park 3, but according to a paleontologist, this is what would happen in a fight between Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus
