VTOL for flaps
The Ilyushin Il-52 was a proposed idea for a transonic, flying wing Soviet bomber in 1949. Much is unknown about this aircraft, and I had to approximate many measurements. The speed is somewhat accurate for a 4-engined bomber of its time, and so is the handling. It was really fun redoing this build the right way with blueprints and everything.

Wow great design and build 👍
@asteroidbook345 , The steering is just perfect . An exceptional achievement . well done .
@asteroidbook345 , Thank you, it's very nice .
@asteroidbook345 yeah I follow all of the good soviet builders who make these cool unusual aircraft. They experimented with so much
@asteroidbook345 sadly a lot of these older soviet projects have very little about them on record. It’s shame because it probably gets lost over time as it’s deemed not important
@asteroidbook345 wow! I didn’t realise this was actually a proposed idea! You learn something new everyday
I like how my screenshots turned out!
This is a really cool idea for a bomber. Nice work!
It is a magnificent aircraft . I myself have already reproduced it . Great job .
