Lockspeiser LDA-01

121k asteroidbook345  4.0 years ago

This is the most fun thing I've made in a while

Controls:

Nothing special, just normal plane controls.

Description:

The Lockspeiser LDA-01 is a seven-tenths tandem-wing agricultural aircraft built in Britain in the 1970s. It had a pusher design and tandem wing which offered excellent visibility while giving it very good STOL performance. Cruising speed was 110mph, though it could go faster in a dive.

I'm not much for civilian aircraft but this one is really neat! Thanks for sharing! The wing construction taught me a little about how to portray wing shapes and how to use wing scaling so you can focus more on the appearance of the wings than fitting those blocky things in them. ^_^

@DanDaFreakinMan Yeah it's not supposed to be very maneuverable. It's just used for surveying and light transport

It looks like I've seen this before, but non the less this thing is super wacky lookin. Why is there a door on the side of this thing? Is that to fit the bodies better?
