Brief information

The Swn-19 A1 (Company designation also known as Model 19 A1) is a naval fighter derived from the Swn-9 series of fighters manufactured by the Suiwanan Aviation Company of Castoreum. Development started from an interest in developing a carrier-based fighter based on an Swn-9 B prototype, with the inverted Vee engine utilized as a powerplant as an alternative to the air-cooled radial engines that are rather large in diameter. Further changes of the aircraft led to a new designation to separate it from the rest of the Swn-9 series aircraft. Moving on, and with the possible introduction of carriers to Castoreum accelerated the program that eventually led to a series production of this variant.
