No problem, I’ll keep you in mind about the springs, thanks tons@Hyattorama
Haha right on, thanks, I’ll keep you in mind for testing. My problem is that once I get close to finishing a plane I have this compulsion to get it posted so I tend to rush things which is bad. Yeah, a cockpit would be sweet but also a big pain to dig out space for it like you said. As for the springs, I thing it’s just that the geometry of the suspension and the weight of the plane are such that the springs are still too strong. You’d have to xml mod the springs to make the strength even lower or the damper higher or probably both. If you don’t have xml mods I could probably help with that. Also you’re right that some livery detail would improve the look. And thanks for the compliment about the Howard :) @XjayIndustrys
Thanks @Hyattorama for the feedback again. I agree that the radial looks much better, although the clearance with the Cessna style helps when your trying to break the suspension which all I did to was change the rotators to 30° and play with the shocks, which I find very confusing to be honest, I get how they work but the rebound is to fast so I’ll have to fix that up. I actually got the cockpit single piece idea of your Howard, which looked ace, so thx there as well. I agree that it’s fairly simple aesthetically so I’m gonna have to do something there. (Stripes and a call sign. I call shotty for VH-ECF. Regarding the cockpit I’d need to redesign the two fuselage pieces which would be a pain :| I don’t have a deadline or goal for public release (which wouldn’t be soon anyway), hopefully in this year but that’s a real long time so I have 0% of a release date. I agree that she is awesome to fly around the red mark (and occasionally under it) it’s particularly fun taking out the snowstone base with rockets.
Thanks for testing and the feedback as well. If u want me to test anything or any ideas about anything u can just ask. ;)
Btw yeah this thing is really satisfying to fly around at 40 just above stall. You can pretty much land it anywhere! @XjayIndustrys
My pleasure man! But really, it’s not as if it isn’t warranted or anything. I mean, I think it’s a great bush plane. Flight characteristics are spot on, really good stall speed/STOL, it’s nice to look at but not flashy or anything. Are you going to public post soon? Btw I like the two variants you’ve got here. The Cessna style front end version looks good! However I think I still prefer the other variant, the radial engine style. Also, I like the improvement to the windscreen, I think it’s significantly better. You might even be able to fit a partial cockpit in there ;) although cockpits are a huge headache haha. Did you do anything to the suspension? I haven’t been able to collapse it on the newer versions so far, so that’s good. @XjayIndustrys
Thanks for showing so much interest
@Hyattorama I had a float version but forgot to save for some reason
