The Yak-9 represented Russia's more powerful engines framed to a strong, proven metal body, creating one of the finest Russian fighters. Later variants armed with powerful cannons proved to be strong interceptors, providing the pilot landed his shots.

    @Deadly8Nightshade Yaks were pretty unstable. I couldn't stabilise this if I wanted to. Getting the correct weight and fuel positions, while making sure it flies level on a stable cruise PLUS landing elevation needed... Not fun :( sorry.
