(My first official craft) Hurricane Mk. I early raw
"This is not an account for uploading aircraft creations" heh
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my first ever aircraft that will remain on this account with confidence. If the very few remember the Ju 87 that I had published years ago, please remove that from your memory.
Why "raw" you might ask? Why it is because there is no RAF paint nor markings on it, due to my complete incompetence to represent such colours. Instead I chose to represent which portions of the Hurricane are metal covered and which are fabric covered (Yes, the Irish linen is highly exaggerated as it would originally be coated with dope). If you despise my choice in colours, feel free to change them yourself.
My main sources for gathering info were from the Haynes Hawker Hurricane Manual, where I took in pictures and diagrams for reference. I chose the early Mk. I model as it was the simplest to recreate. As I wasn't satisfied with an "oversimplified build", I did add some visual details and usable components (e.g. proper control surface deflections).
I am somewhat of a big fan of the Hurricane over the Stuka (check my bio) so self criticism was lengthy. To start: I totally gave up with the landing gear and used the default ones; the tail section was a horrendous attempt; W I N G - F L E X ; tail navigation light should be on the tip of the rudder, not on top; sub-par performance compared to the actual thing. More nit-picky stuff would include no gun patches and no visual handgrips.
To all those things, I do apologise.
For controls,
-Group 1 activates navigation lights
-Group 2 and 3 activates identification lights (I put them on separate groups so you could perhaps use morse code on either)
-Group 4 activates landing lamps (not at all bright enough)
-Group 8 activates the eight Browning 0.303in MGs (no convergence)
-Trim trims out the elevator (It is highly advised to use it especially at low airspeeds)
-Gear is for… the obvious
-Camera 1 is for the gun camera outfitted on the right wing
*Flaps are absent
I did customise the health on each part according to my judgement, i.e. fabric covering allows explosive shells to pass through without exploding. If they seem outlandish, apologies but feel free to customise them yourself. I also customised the MGs in reference to pancelvonat's Spitfire.
This model is the Hurricane Mk. I early, easily distinguishable from other marks by the Watts two-bladed fixed pitch propeller. Other features you could identify with an early Mk. I is a more thicker and cylindrical aerial mast, no ventral fin and a more sharper spinner.
From the Hurricane prototype (K5083) it is observed that the tail gear is retractable, though production versions show that it is not so.
For ACTUAL engine control tips,
This uses a Merlin II so for maximum permissible, put engine on plus 2.5 boost on rich mixture (60 imperial gallons per hour). Do not approach more than 3200rpm or the engine will burst.
I do really appreciate if any capable lads out there are willing to improve on this "mess of parts". Just be sure to have this as the predecessor. I hope that FINALLY I can get over 30 points so I can upvote others' more fantastical builds.

@LittleJerry Please feel free to try. I honestly suck with hinges and rotators.

@TatsuTheDemonLord @PilotPilotTheTRALALA @thewiiguy
Thank you for the kind words!
Awesome
Its nice! To me it looks kinda like a hurricane and an early 109 had a child, but still - pretty amazing for a first (Official) build!
@StukaCover cool plane my man
@BlackThuNDR Thanks!
Great from the start... Keep it up, Soon u will be a professional Builder.

Just little judge... The wing is Thicc XD. But no problem, Overall is nice for first build
@rexzion Glad it was the case for you! For me it is way too nose heavy.
flies pretty well
Eyy, I have a rank now.
@Inuyasha8215 Thank you for that spotlight!
@BryanO5 I guess, yeah. There were some Spitfires that mistook Hurricanes as Bf 109s.
It look like bf109 but good
