4.9 years ago
Following the failure to export Lightnings to more countries the company set out to produce an alternative which combined aspects from the Lightning, F104, Mig 25 etc. which resulted in the Thunder. Armed with 2 cannon in the ventral tank and 1 later addition vulcan cannon in the side of the fuselage. Seen here in the colour scheme of the Italian export model (scheme similar to the RF104G Witch)

Beautiful paint scheme!
@RamboJutter Brilliant! Hope you can keep it lower than 650, my device can't run any more
@ssenmodnar i might, see how i feel when i get to the weekend =)
@RamboJutter Hello, I notice that you are very interested in weird and strange aircraft, and I was wondering if you could try a <650 part Dornier Do-29 STOL aircraft.
Ok, thx for the help! I might be able to build fictional aircraft easier now.@RamboJutter
Nice plane . Great job .
@Hedero I normally have a vague concept, such as build something short and stumpy or a mix of different aircraft. Then i usually build the fuselage first to suit what i want, with everything else following on from there. On this i wanted to do the scheme (it used to be on a packet from a foam glider i used to get as a kid), so i wanted something with lots of flat surfaces instead of the usual round fus, it was from a starfighter so it made sense to be something similar and i wanted 2 engines in a lightning style configuration. The rest just followed on from there. The undercarriage was the hardest bit to fit on the airframe though as it has to not be wing mounted (pylons in the way) and avoid the air intakes.
Ur signature Conor schemes.... figuring out how you do it is not working right now...
Also how do you come up with your fictional designs? Do you just build as you go or do you base them off of real life references? Cause I tried to build a fictional jet and it just doesn't look right.
Yea lol. Its magnificent and it looks very difficult to build that colorscheme. Nice!
Oh I see, someone here took inspiration from our Special Color F-104G ;)
Love the livery of course!
Nice! I see F-18, F-14, and some English Electric Lightning in the mix! Great job
