The Lynch X2-2 is a helicopter used for carrying heavy cargo. It was the year 1960, the wright space program needed a helicopter big enough for carrying there space ship parts. They needed a completely new helicopter, and couldn’t use planes because none would be big enough to carry it at the time. Wright decided to add spider legs on it to make it able to carry more, so they built the Lynch X2-2.
