The JM-85b "Carver" is my newest and shiniest fictional jet fighter. It is a 50s era design taking influence from aircraft such as the MiG-15 and F-86. This build is packed with features while also being optimized for those of us with less glamorous PCs!

The Carver is quite maneuverable with a decent power to weight ratio, It is a jack of all trades master of none type of jet with no significant weaknesses or strengths. The base model features 2X 23mm guns and a single 35mm gun with 50 rounds of ammunition. The SA variants can carry an assortment of bombs. Overall the design lends this plane to be a 50s era workhorse capable of meeting most basic needs.

While the numbers aren’t perfectly RL, they’re close and, hence, the jet really feels like a RL fighter jet of this era. It pulls appropriately hard, slows down in high speed turns, roll rate is realistic and it has a great cockpit that doesn’t sacrifice the fuselage outline, beautiful work. Great build and great flight model.
