About

This is a replica of the Radiant Pillar BC1 from the space exploration videogame known as No Man's Sky. With this replica, I aimed to capture both the form and function of the ship as accurately as possible, and in as much detail as necessary. This means that the ship should fly and look exactly as it does in No Man's Sky, bar certain game mechanics or visual effects that I could not replicate within Simpleplanes (i.e. the hyperdrive).

A little over 35 hours of work and more than a few table smashes were had throughout the creation process, so an upvote wouldn't hurt if you like the way she flies or love the way she looks!

For those who are unable to load the images in the description due to a bad connection or a networking error, here's a transcript of the instructions:

    PILOTING INSTRUCTIONS

    VTOL Slider - Launch Thrusters
    A.G. 1 - Pulse Engine
    A.G. 2 - Landing Assist

    LAUNCH INSTRUCTIONS

    I. Push VTOL slider to the top.
II. Set throttle to 100% after approximately 2.5 seconds.
III. Push VTOL slider to the center after an appropriate altitude has been reached.

    LANDING INSTRUCTIONS

    I. Activate A.G. 2 once velocity has been lowered to 800kmh or 500mph.
II. Push VTOL slider halfway to the second notch.
III. Hold down the brakes until velocity reaches below 100kmh or 30mph.
IV. Adjust VTOL slider appropriately until the ship touches down softly.

If you're reading this, then you're free to reupload the plane with moderate changes/tweaks. Make sure you changed the engine power or something and didn't just move a flap like 1 millimeter. Ideally, give credit in the description and make sure that the autocredit lists your edited version as a successor.

It’d be cool if the turbines rotated as they did in the game,
I’d do it myself but I’d end up trashing the whole thing trying to do so😅
The thing’s amazing though, nice job!

@TrueNoMan It did give me markdown, but it's the exact same thing as what this site's formatting guide gives me. The only other kind of markdown it provided was Reddit markdown, and I don't think that'd work. I just won't make my images so tall next time I guess.

@SAT0rii if the image uploading website you used provides Markdown code generation, try using that and put the markdown code into the description instead of ![](IMAGE_LINK) so that the image will be bigger here
