Water takeoff and landing only. Water landings: power down and pull nose up a bit on near approach. There are no airbrakes, so you will need some space for landing. Its a bit nose heavy, you will need to trim up a bit for slower speeds.
Fictional History
Inspired by a variety of aircraft.
The C3FF, also known as the Pine Top, was developed for the Canadian Forestry Services in 1922 to perform standard fire watches, cartography, and photography. It also served as informal transport into remote areas, though was limited to water landings and takeoff.
The Pine Top was interesting for the mixing of both older and modern (for the time) developments. While the Pine Top was still a biplane with a open "chuckwagon" cockpit and a tight uncomfortable cabin, it had top of the line engines, an advanced "wireless" system, and an early glass nose for better observation.
In its later years, as the CFS retired the Pine Top, private bush pilots brought them and kept them running for years to come.
