It was first delivered to British Airways under the registration G-DDXL, it then went into service with Malaysian Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, and Air New Zealand under the registration 9M-MHI, it was then was converted to a Boeing 747-200F and went back into service with Malaysian Airlines. It then went into service with Focus Air in 2006 and then Malaysian Airlines again in 2008, it then went into service with Air Atlanta Icelandic in 2010 and is currently being stored at Fujeirah Fujairah International Airport
