Lyra Type 35
The Lyra Type 35, internally codenamed as the Raiden (en: lightning), is a fighter-interceptor built on a requirement for a lightweight cannon-armed military aircraft that can intercept and shoot down heavy bombers at high altitudes.
Powered by a Mitsubishi R-2570 "Kasei" radial with a special two-speed supercharger for altitude use, it can reach speeds highter than its contemporaries.
Flight characteristics
The Lyra's Lightning is very nimble at its weight and engine class, can outrun most fighters at around 5,000 meterd makes it ideal for its role to shoot down recce and bomber aircraft.
As a pilot your main food will be Boeing 345/B-29 Superfortresses, Douglas XB-31 Raidmasters and some wehraboo Luft '46 projects. Do not engage fighters if needed and conserve ammunition (160 total) because the forces' anti-air needs those.
Of course, your only weaknesses at ideal operating altitudes are bomber gunners, large-calibre flak (rarely occurs) and turbojet aircraft such as the Messerschmitt 262.
Practice landing while having its engine at around 15-25 percent and consider adjusting its flap and trims to achieve a smooth touchdown on the ground.
Attention: Part count is 91, this means that it is likely or certainly PEA capable
