A sleek and modern fighter, the L&N F-1 was a land based fighter designed to escort bombers and engage at higher altitudes. Launched into production in 1942, it beat out other planes at the time, such as the FW-190 and the Spitfire. It was replaced only by the L&N F-2, launched in 1959.
MAX “SAFE” THROTTLE: 60%
It can go faster, but it tops out at around 450 mph at 60% throttle. More realistic. Not really.
