The Jackson Heavy Industries (JHI) H38 is a redesign of a failed prototype from the 70s. The aircraft was supposed to just be a test bed for delta wing and front canard aircraft. But one of the generals visiting the test site saw the potential of the aircraft and pressed it into mass production.
