The R-26 Airbuster line, is Merlock finest aircraft they ever built. It's a modern, and state of the art agile pusher plane equipped with a contra rotating propeller, can even reach impressive speed on low water level. The R-26 is so impressive, that many Air Force even ordered it, planning it to place their outdated Fighter, and Attacker planes with this agile beast. The R-26 however, is not the only version of the aircraft, there's multiple version of it, even some experimental design and and military variant. It is a quite popular Air Racer amongst them Air Racers, however it comes with a great price, literally, not only that the engine on it are quite expensive but it also has prone to overheating, however overheating case are quite rare considering it has a gigantic air intake on both of its side. The aircraft itself is also expensive, it's pretty much the Super car equivalent of a personal aircraft. It's speedy, agile, attractive, and loud. It is one of the finest pick on the Air Racing community, because of its reliable handling and speed.

• Yes as the description say, this isn't the only Airbuster version out there. There's the R-26S Superbuster, FB-26 Airbuster (Military variant), R-27 Twinbuster (Experimental variant with twin engine and improved wings, raced once in "Unexpected challenger" Race), and the FB-26R Speedbuster (Early jet military variant, currently in development.)
• This is the proudest remake I've made so far, the last one? Not so much honestly. But this is by far the coolest looking remake I made out of the 4.
• Yes, as you notice, this design is heavily inspired by the J7W1 Shinden.
• This version of the Airbuster only has front retractable gear, however the R-26S variant has retractable wing landing gear.
• I don't know if this is obvious enough, but Merlock used to be a lock company. Y'know, like Glock.
• Yes, this is a high end aircraft. Alongside the the last one, this is probably the best aircraft in the Air Racer series canonically.
• There's confirmed 16 casualties with the Airbuster, and no they're not the military variant unfortunately, those are unfortunate racer.
• This specific Airbuster here is owned by A-Silver, a very famous female racer in the Air Racing community. In order to unlock the Airbuster in the Dealership, you need to defeat her in a race once. Which is again, not an easy task.
