5,000 Pound Medium Bomb
This is not an airplane. It's a stock part pretending to be a airplane. My intention is to provide useful and completed sub assemblies for you to incorporate into your own design. This is a medium size 5,000 lb. bomb that will require a cargo or transport plane to handle. Notes on use: 1) make sure the bomb attaches to the plane only at the detatcher. Otherwise, it will incorporate into the body of the plane and won't release. 2) Be sure that the bomb or bombs are on their own detach number that other critical systems, such as engines on pylons, are not also attached to. 3) If you want to place these on wings, you will need to use pylons to connect them. You will need to reinforce the wings to keep them from breaking off. 4) Keep in mind how the bomb will affect how your plane files once its weight is gone. Generally, they work better if located as close as possible to directly under the center of mass. If placing on wings, be sure to balance them equally. HOW TO USE: 1) Download and open the Bomb in Simple Planes. 2) hover the pointer on the bomb body. Click on the curved arrow at right. Then click on the triangle with two squares underneath to add it to your sub assemblies. 3) Start a new plane or open an existing one. When you are ready to add the bomb, go to the sub assemblies menu and drag it into place on your plane. Enjoy! If you like this subassembly, please click on my username to see my other planes and sub components. Also, please leave a rating if you find these useful so others can find them as well. Finally please comment with other sub assemblies you might like to see.
