Pilatus P-2
Having previously built the ‘German biplane’ from the the airship escape scene from The Last Crusade and being suggested by Strikefighter04 and Theeagle698, I decided to build the ‘German fighter’ to accompany it. As buddying plane enthusiasts you will all know it was a Pilatus P-2 they used in filming. This type of aircraft didn’t actually fly till 1945, so rather like the stand in clipper from raiders (short solent), a much later aircraft was used as a stand in for availability reasons (and cost no doubt!)
Some notes on handling
Terrible. It took a lot effort just to make this fly due to attempting to create realistic wings etc and I nearly allowed the build to be abandoned altogether. Hence why on low graphic settings the elevators look like they are going to be pulled out. Trim can be used to increase pitch if you feel you’re about to hit the deck.
Flight - v laboured
Landing- 1/3 chance of crashing at best (on clumsy iPad anyway)
Flaps - AG 2
Guns are supposed to be mounted on the nose so apologies. I guess this build was resurrected as a distraction to other bigger projects but was an enjoyable build nonetheless!

I see The Last crusade
Sorry for the delay, for some reason your comment didn’t pop up in my notifications. The other plane is my stampe sv4 I made a while back that’s supposed to be from the airship escape scene. Just look through my builds and I think it’s one of the first ones I did. @TitanIncorporated
So you did! Apologies! @Theeagle698
Hey I suggested that too!
@Tang0five I'm currently working on a stuka dive bomber
You’re correct...roll rate is acceptable, pitch rate, not so much! Nice build, though!
@Finniusorion @mikoyanster @SledDriver @RamboJutter @Carbonfox1 @aplayer @ThePilotDude @BritishNarwhal7 @JettStorm @DestinyAviation and @WarHawk95
Many thanks for your support!
