GPU-275

The GPU-275 is a basic and powerful gun pod of Pearlian origin. It was developed in the 2010's to provide the ealier Kfir's of the Pearlian Army with more firepower and can be used on other fighter aircraft as well.

Design
The GPU-275 is a gun pod of a fairly simple design. The round aerodynamic pod houses two barrels of M39A2 autocannon at the front and associated ammunition at the rear. For operation the pod requires external power which is provided by the aircraft. Since the cannon is fixed it is aimed by pointing the aircraft in the direction of the target.

Firepower
The GPU-275 features two M39A2 autocannons and 250 rounds of 20x102mm ammunition. The cyclic rate of fire is 100 rounds per second and the maximum effective range is 1-2 km. The 20mm rounds are effective against infantry, soft skin vehicles and light armored vehicles.

Users
The GPU-275 is most commonly found on the attack helicopters and fighter jets of the Pearlian Military Defense Forces. The GPU-275 remains available for export.

Author's notes

I based this on the UPK-23-250, but the barrels are similar to the M39. The firepower is basically a mix of both.

Though it said that it has 250 rounds. It actually doesn't, it's unlimited. So have fun.

To put it on, simply grab the red part of the gunpod and attach it to the pylons of your aircraft.
