Avro 730
This entire build was like an exercise in hiding stuff - enough inlets to (barely) feed eight engines, and a cockpit too, all kept away from sight.
____
"The Avro 730 was a planned Mach 3 reconnaissance aircraft and strategic bomber for the Royal Air Force. If it had proceed ded into service, the aircraft would have replaced the V bombers as the primary nuclear weapons delivery system for Britain's nuclear deterrent. It was cancelled in 1957 along with other development on manned aircraft as part of the 1957 Defence White Paper." Sort of like Britain's very own Blackbird, I suppose. The project was cancelled in 1957 amid growing expectations that Soviet missile systems would be able to effectively counter a plane even at mach 2.5 and 18km up, but parts of the design were eventually brought to life in the Concorde.

@Skua Oh. I forgot wings don't block inlets, so the same would apply to structural panels too. Good to know!
@amazingperson124 patiently. I wish I had known when I was building this that structural panels don't block inlets, it would have made it a lot easier
@Skua How do you hide all those inlets?
@amazingperson124 thanks for the vote!
@VikDesigns it's okay, it's not a very well-known design, and if you're not familiar with it then it probably looks a little dull. Also I'm not in the States, and Americans seem to make up the bulk of the site's users, so the times I upload things tend to be a little quieter. It's not a problem though, I built it because I wanted to, not for popularity
@VikDesigns cheers dude
