The F-9C Stickleback, so-called due to the row of airbrakes running along the spine of the fuselage behind its cockpit, is the main air superiority fighter of the Westland Republic. While neither the fastest nor the most agile aircraft currently in service, it is cheap, reliable and easy to maintain in the field, serving with distinction over the deserts of Maywar during the Sixth Ascendant Conflict. Its heavy load capacity lends it both versatility and staying power in combat.
