Columbiair was commissioned by the engineers at Area 88 to make a multirole variable geometry aircraft capable of mach 1.2. This is the prototype that they made. Sadly that pesky photographer stuck his lens where it shouldn't have been and snapped a few photos for you. AG 1 for release of gunpod, vtol up for wing movement, down for flaps.
