NGB-40 Jotnar
NGB-40 "Jotnar" Precision Guidance Kit
Overview:
The NGB-40 "Jotnar" is not only a standalone guided bomb but also features a modular guidance kit that can be attached to a standard Mk 83 dumb bomb, converting it into a precision-guided munition. This two-component system enables Nordic forces to upgrade existing bomb stocks with enhanced precision capability, providing flexibility and cost savings.
Operational Use:
The NGB-40 "Jotnar" kit allows Nordic forces to expand precision-strike capabilities using existing Mk 83 inventories. Once equipped, the modified bombs are capable of hitting moderately hardened targets such as command posts, radar stations, and fortified installations with improved accuracy. The modular approach offers Nordic countries a versatile, economical way to adapt their munitions for both training and combat scenarios, leveraging existing infrastructure for a strategic advantage.
Features:
• Nordic version of GBU-27 Paceway III
• I saw a post that inspired this one
• also be surprised that not every part of this bomb is mass 0 and drag 0, because I don't know it worked for some reason
• Shout-out to the Nordic countries
That's all, hygge everyone.
