XF-79 Clipper - RCHM
Another experiment, re-using an airframe I built before (Clipper). RCHM stands for Reaction Controlled Hyper-Maneuverability. There are some standard control surfaces for trimming and more conventional use, but the main controls are with jet nozzles. Air brakes are also coupled with forward pointing deployable thrusters. There is also a stabilizing gyroscope for recovery or steady flight.
Controls :
-AG1: Navigation lights
-AG2: Landing lights
-AG5: Drop all missiles
-AG6: Second set of countermeasures
-AG7: Stabilizing gyro
-AG8: RCHM system
There are a lot of possibilities for the take-off, especially coupled with the gyroscope. Landing is a lot tricker as the plane is really sensitive. Try without the RCHM (AG8) first, then try with it, so you can use the reverse thrust for short landings.
