Introduction

Here we go again actually finishing some of my older builds =)

Shouldnt be any drama on the colour scheme here, its not Israeli and its not like Britain has bombed or invaded pretty much every country in existance... oh maybe it has (the same could be said for pretty much every other country that has / had an airforce, navy or army btw.)

Based loosely on the Bristol Firebrand but altered to suit my own style. Its not very fast in this iteration due to the massive drag / extra weight from the floats but it would have been more effective than aircraft like the Swordfish that where in service at the time, if deployed in sufficient numbers. Inspired also by images of Spitfires on floats.

I decided to change things up a bit here so the aircraft actually has suspension built into the float supports (well it can be a bit rough landing at sea) and the pilot actually moves the throttle and joystick with his hands (or SP lumps representing hands anyway). I have struggled with the joystick motions needed for the arm to actually sequence with the hinge rotators but its as close as i could get it.

The torpedo is scaled to match a Royal Navy / Airforce airdrop torpedo (have you seen how small SP torpedos are compared to real life?)

I do have a version to follow on where it has traditional landbased undercarriage and a different colour scheme / details etc.

I would ask for some assistance if anyone knows of some funkystick stuff that will let me reverse thrust on the prop to slow down on landing i would appreciate it. I tried having the engine flip 180 degrees at a speed where it wasnt visible, that resulted in an amusing aircraft flip though.

Controls

AG1 = start engine
AG8 = shut cockpit
Vtol dn = flaps

Oh and thanks to @Type2volkswagen for pointing out how to make rivets without a gazillion light units...
