"During a skermish involving the Continuum and I.S.F.O.S against the Tors, we were pinned down by a battalion of Tor infantry armed with what would count as assault rifles. They also had 'bull hounds'. (A biological entity created by the Tors to help exterminate enemy troops). The soldier on my right was shot dead. Seconds later I ran out of ammunition for my weapon, so I had to resort to the gun of my fallen comerade..... it was an ARC-49. The mag still had over 2,000 shots left. So I grabbed the LMG, and lunged out of the trench I was taking cover in, all the while shooting. The nearest Bull Hound went flying as soon as it was hit. A Tor that got hit was literally split in half by the firepower of that gun. I managed to kill the rest of the battalion, and holding off the oncoming waves until reinforcements arrived.... bottom line, if it weren't for that ARC-49, I would've most certainly been cut to pieces by the enemy. That gun saved my life."

The ARC-49 is the standard LMG of the I.S.F.O.S. It contains 5,000 plasma shots per magazine (of which is a drum). It has the fire rate of an MG15, incredible stopping power, and a range of almost 6,000 yards. It faced its first challenge during the First Tor War, and would prove its worth. The Tors referred to it simply as "Hammer".
