The Boeing B-74 was a heavy strategic bomber developed by the United States during the Cold War, designed as an intercontinental nuclear strike platform with conventional bombing capabilities. Built as a successor to earlier piston-driven bombers like the Convair B-36 Peacemaker, the B-74 incorporated Pratt & Whitney T34-P-9W Turboprop engines and a massive wingspan, allowing for extended range and high-altitude performance. The B-74 is Armed with multiple turrets equipped with Twin M24A1 20mm Autocannons to protect against enemy fighters, especially during its Vietnam War service when North Vietnamese MiGs and SAMs were a threat.
