The ADF-04 Scimitar is an Erandian family of single-seat, twin-engine, all-weather stealth multirole combat aircraft that is intended to perform both air superiority and strike missions. It is also able to provide electronic warfare and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities. The North Erandian Munitions Factory is the main ADF-04 contractor, with principal partner Aevance Aerospace. The aircraft has two main variants: the Conventional (Carrier) takeoff and landing ADF-04A and STOVL ADF-04B.

The Aircraft has a stealthy design, with Internal Weapon Bays and a Retractable Cannon. It has Advanced Avionics and Sensor fusion that enables a high level of situational awareness and long range lethality.

Sensor Systems

The Aircraft's numerous sensors are among the most complex components of the aircraft. The aircraft uses a AMK41 AESA Radar, AEWC-6 Electronic warfare system, IM12A Distributed Aperture System, IM40A EOTS and Type 30 CNI Suite. Of particular note is the AMK41 Radar, which uses electronic scanning for rapid beam agility and incorporates passive and active air-to-air modes, strike modes, and synthetic aperture radar capability, with multiple target track-while-scan at ranges in excess of 150 km. The antenna is tilted backwards for stealth.
All information from the sensors can be shared using MADL to other platforms without compromising low observability.

Armament

The Aircraft is armed with a MAC AGR-31/3 20mm Cannon in an enclosed bay, carrying 150 rounds. It is a Three-barrel Gatling-type Rotary cannon.

The ADF-04A has 3 Internal weapons bays; the large main bay on the bottom of the fuselage, and and two smaller bays on the sides of the fuselage, aft of the engine intakes.

Variants

ADF-04A

The ADF-04A is the conventional takeoff and landing variant intended for the USAF and other air forces. It is the smallest, lightest version and capable of 9 g, the highest of all variants. The variant is capable of catapult-assisted take-off but arrested recovery operations from aircraft carriers. The ADF-04A features wings with foldable wingtip sections, large control surfaces for improved low-speed control, stronger landing gear for the stresses of carrier arrested landings, a twin-wheel nose gear, and a strong tailhook for use with carrier arrestor cables.

Carrier Landing

The ADF-04B is the short takeoff and vertical landing variant of the aircraft. Similar in size to the A variant, the B variant is limited to 7 g. Unlike other variants, the ADF-04B has no landing hook. The "STOVL/HOOK" control instead engages conversion between normal and vertical flight. The ADF-04B can also perform vertical and/or short take-off and landing.

A remake of the ADF-04 posted some time ago, the current ADF-04 is my second build with a full cockpit. It is also my first build with full control surfaces. This build was started before the 1.11 update; as a result it does not completely incorporate 1.11 features. I will attempt to remedy this in the next aircraft build.
