F-78/E Storm Sabre

27.9k SteadfastContracting  8.1 years ago

HISTORY/BACKSTORY-
-The F-78/E Storm Sabre was a carrier based craft based on the Super Sabre to attack mostly ground/water targets but was capable in holding its own if needed in a gun dogfight. It was designed in 1977 with the ability to move its main wings forward toproduce more lift in a shorter runway and provide better agility. It went into full-scale production in 1979. There were a total of 2 ace pilots to ever fly these jets. Anderson Wild with 43 confirmed kills, and Jack Gunderson with 51 confirmed kills. The military retired the plane in about 2007 but a few remain flyable today as airshow planes and in some museums.

CONTROLS-
-Not much, just use VTOL to change the forward placement of the main wings.

FINAL NOTES-
-This was really fun to make, especially the variable wings. If you want more agility, then move the wings forward. Have fun and enjoy!

I can also mod things from my Kindle sometimes (if it's working).
