History

Shortly before, the airline expanded its destinations to Granada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominica, and among other destinations in British colonies.

Later in the 70s, the airline ordered 70 DC-10s, which did arrive without fail, the airline had no accidents with the aircraft, but there were runway departures due to how gigantic the aircraft was. one of them ended up dismantled since they couldn't fix it. Later in the 80s, the airline ordered 61 Boeing 757s, This time they did arrive.

Later in the 90s, the airline changed to the current one with the airline logo on the engines and on the tail of the aircraft, after 1994, the airline ordered 42 A330s to replace the old fleet of Convairs and Douglas. Much later, the airline ordered 12 Concordes, but they arrived. Now the A330 serves the airline for destinations such as Madrid, Paris, Lisbon, New York, Miami, Panama City, and among others. The airline has a cargo subdivision called Barbados Air Cargo,

- September 1992: An HS 748 crashed in Martinique from Barbados to Saint Martin leaving 13 dead and 21 survivors.
