PF.2N floatplane fighter
837 Sofa
8.9 years ago
With a lack of proper aircraft carriers, this variant of the PF.2 was equipped with pontoons in order to carry out a fighter role at sea, launching from cargo and escort ships to secure airspace and allow BP.1 flying boats to conduct anti-ship and anti-submarine missions unmolested. Limited utility and sub-par performance prevented the PF.2N from seeing significant production.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: During takeoff, start at 40 percent throttle and make sure to pull back on the stick until lifting off. While landing, approach the water at a glide with an airspeed no greater than 100 mph and pulling up until reaching a complete stop.
