The streak was ment to be the future of high speed rail travel and on paper, it shoul have been. The idea was to improve on the European model of high speed train and make it more efficient. First was to remove one power car and add a cab car instead, then a brand new design of coach which is lighter and more efficient than any other built at the time, lastly a new 200+ mph locomotive. now these mighty beasts are almost never seen on the mainline after being replaced with faster and newer rolling stock.
