Welcome to Naval Attack Challenge
Welcome to the Naval Attack Challenge. On this occasion you will have to develop a plane or helicopter equipped with anti-ship missiles. The aircraft can be replica or fictitious, it can be jet or turboprop. Each aircraft will be tested on a secret map in which there will be a predetermined combat route. Prepare your aircraft to participate in the Naval Attack Challenge.

Deadline 25 December 2019
Basic Build Rules - XML Edition Allow! Read rules please!
- VERY IMPORTANT! The design and behaviour of the aircraft must be realistic
- Must be successor of this post
- Must be a new post, no reuploads
- Can be both fictional and replica
- Max 3 entries per person
- XML is allowed and expected
- Your entry must be more than 230 parts and less than 750 parts
- The weight and drag of the details can be 0
- Max Flares (50 units) Max Chaffs (50 units)
- The description is highly recommended and it will be specified: 1) Year of introduction, 2) Manufacturer, 3) Options, Specifications, Features
It will be judged
- Ease of maneuver -
30pt
- Your aircraft handles well, flies at a speed suitable for the type of aircraft, turns well, has a smooth flight, works well at all speeds, quickly gains altitude. - Realistic model -
40pt
- If it looks realistic or plausible, you will gain more points - Details, paint and accesories -
10pt
- Do you have good looks and details? - Realistic weapons and behaviour -
20pt
- It has weapons according to those currently available. Is the behavior of the weapons realistic? Do the missiles have realistic reach, speed and behavior? Do you use guns based on real or similar weapons? - Build quality -
20pt
- Your aircraft has been built with quality, paying attention to detail, has a good finish - Mission Fulfillment -
50pt
- Destroy the two frigates, without suffering damage + Fire the anti-ship missiles within 100 feet + Complete mission between the 5 best chronos + Back to base + Destroy secondary objectives - Fair play -
20pt
- If you meet all the rules you will earn 20 points, otherwise you can lose up to 20 points
How is the test on the secret map?
- All aircraft participating in the challenge will be tested on a secret map.
- Airplanes and helicopters will have predetermined combat routes. They will have to overcome the air defenses in their path, until they reach two frigates that they must destroy with their anti-ship weapons. The anti-ship attack will launch less than 100 feet high.
- The elimination of other objectives, add points, also return to the base.
- The test video will be published on YouTube.
- Finally, the secret map will also be published.

18th place, not to shabby.
My entry
Are there any other specifications on fair play? Does low observable (stealth) count as fair play?
That happened to me once. I resolved it by making a sub assembly of my plane and then opening it in a new file.@asteroidbook345
@MasterLobster I just added a "state of the art targeting pod" and modded the missiles accordingly. At least I came up with some cool stuff, even if it's not realistic.
There's a few things that I find concerning:
Are you sure that you meant to say 100 feet? That's seriously way too close for any missile in real life
This one pretty much takes out of the equation any realistic plane, you can't just fire an anti ship missile at mach 2, and those planes that fly realistically and aren't supposed to cruise at supersonic speeds stand absolutely no chance.
Does this mean we can have missiles that can launch from miles away?
I'm guessing replicas can't get points from this one
This would go against the rule that it should handle realistically if we're making a heavier plane, especially a modified bomber.
Posted my contestant. Good luck to all.
@mikoyanster then this challenge is right up my alley feel free to test
some of my turboprops I built on my profile
@247freddyfasbear yes
Also I'm entering
Can the aircraft have more than 2 engines?
Ill enter
Thank you just verifying!@mikoyanster
@FlyingHueman it´s allowed re-edit aircrafts, but must be new features and some new design elements, not equal to original plane.
@Hedero yes of course!
Are finetuner, and overload allowed?@mikoyanster
Is it allowed to make a new/adapted version of a previously posted aircraft? As a sucessor to this post, of course. I only ask because, while that would would technically not be a reupload, it wouldn't be completely brand new either, so I fear it'd be on a bit of a weird grey spot on the rules and I wanted to make sure.
The reason I ask is because one of the ideas I had on my mind for the future would fit almost perfectly here, but some adaptations would be required (namely on the countermeasures, and perhaps some extra detailing for good measure since I don't usually do much of that).
nah I got it done @mikoyanster
@thefalkenreich I can help you build your plane if you want.
@Botfinder I say the same, I think it is important to have a plane that maintains a straight and precise flight.
@TMach5 I think so, since the accuracy of the plane will be an important factor in this mission. Keep in mind that you are going to fly at sea level.
does it have to be 250 or do we just get deducted points
I just realized that my Intruder has an off-center cockpit making the missiles shoot unevenly and unbalancing the plane. Shall I repost it, or can you center your copy? @mikoyanster
@thefalkenreich The number of parts rule is designed to involve aircraft with a certain level of complexity and detail. Improve your plane so that it has better capabilities, qualities or a more realistic, refined design ...
