Introduction
I have always liked the Type 559 design idea but, as with everything, the design was bound to change prior to production (if that pesky white paper hadnt lead to everything being scrapped) so here is my take on how the plane could have evolved.
Based on a heavy wing load (ignore the SP figure, it counts vertical surfaces as wings...) so takeoff and landing speeds are higher than normal (approx 220kts for both) but also lots of power and a heavy loadout with 4no. Redtop AA missiles and 2 20mm Aden cannon.
Controls
VTOL dn = canard rear flap operation, suggest 1/2 down on takeoff, upto full on landing
AG2 = airbrakes
AG3 = drag chute
AG4 = drop external fuel tanks
AG7 = nav lights
LG = landinggear and doors
Pictures
Early photo prior to recolour, larger drop tanks and some detail but gives the impression
