This ground attack/dive bomber aircraft was designed by Blohm und Voss. The cockpit was contained in the nose which was supported by two booms projecting from the wing leading edge. The Daimler Benz DB 603G engine was located mid-fuselage, and drove a propeller that was immediately behind the cockpit. The wing had a straight leading edge and a pronounced taper on the trailing edge. There were two MG 151/20 20mm cannon located in the nose and two MG 151/20 20mm cannon located in the twin booms which supported the nose. A 500 kg (1100 lb) bomb could also be carried.

@kaaraabiner germany invented the ejection seat for a plane with a similar proplem at hand. the heinkel uhu had very large propellers very close to the fuselage directly behind the cockpit so they invented ejection seats to save the pilots.

@kaaraabiner you know the dornier do335 arrow and the heinkel 163 sparrow? the dornier used explosive bolts to safe the pilot from a giant propeller on the back of the plane and the heinkel 163 was the first jet with an ejection seat. so how is the pilot safed in case of emergency?

Enemy can not tell if pusher prop or puller, and thus they won’t shoot in confusion
