Scorcher (Last One)
This modified Scorcher is the only one unaccounted for at war's end, yet is probably the single most important Nova Evropan airship of the entire conflict. Late into the war, this airship had ended up in Western Nova Evropa after the SFR offensive split the country in two, and was used in a conspiracy among Dweller officials (who by now could be the equivalent to Majors) in the remaining troops, who sought to both evade their enemies and find a power vaccuum to achieve heights of power their old masters barred them.
The plan, known as the Exodus, was made with United States of the Seas support, and consisted of repairing Old World ships to evacuate to North America. This Scorcher was to take off in the middle of the night, shortly after the ships themselves had taken off and with USS support to ward off both SFR/CIR and loyalist opposition. Arriving to Northern Florida a week before the rest of the Exodus Fleet, this zeppelin, did a final reconnaisance flight over the region before crash-landing near the expected landing site where the rest of the fleet would beach itself, creating a colony that would later become Fortia's capital. This region was picked because, in spite of the climate, it was both a disunited, imporverished region and one that could potentially be opened up to trade if united, thus bridging both the Atlantic Seaboard shipping network with the Carribean one.
This name was originally picked because it was literally a fortification built first by the airship colony and then expanded by the rest of the carried troops, but stuck because it showed the main ideological difference between Fortia and Nova Evropa: Seeing the racial caste system and broader ideology unworkable, the Dwellers that became Fortia instead created one of strength as main virtue instead of purity, thus allowing the Majors to effectively become aristocrats while providing much more flexibility than the old canards.
The airship itself was extensively modified: Gone are the vibrant hot colors intended to instill fear upon the enemy, replaced with blues aimed at lowering the likelihood of interception. The central and rear gondoles have been merged through an extension to carry extra cargo and personnel, and several defensive guns have been removed to compensate for the lost speed.
