SS Konigreich
SS Konigreich is an Ocean Liner built for the East-West Lines (Ost-West-Gesellschaft) launched in 1802. At the time of her completion, Konigreich surpassed the current Ocean Liners that served on the East, specifically SS Trinidad.
Kongreich has been serving the same company for 308 years and experienced most of the events in Great Country. She served the Equestrian Navy as a Troopship during it's wars. She is the most oldest and the sole steamship Ocean Liner still in service around the world.
History
Konigreich was designed by the King of the Sovereign Kingdom, Hogaria III, while he was in throne. He envisioned to make an Ocean Liner that is fast and comfortable, he designed the ship after checking the reviews of the passengers who were previously on board the famous Ocean Liners of that time.
Konigreich has a lenght of 939,8 ft, a height of 207.8 ft and a beam of 100.9 ft. She can accommodate as many as 3,900 passengers and had a crew of 1,000. She had a max speed of 24 knots.
Early Career
Konigreich left her homeport for see trials with the government permission from both the Crystal and Equestria. Her see trials revealed some flaws from her machineries which included overheating and unnecessary tilting which made it problematic for the king himself. This meant that Konigreich went back to the drydock many times before she can proceed to her main Maiden Voyage schedule. Finally after many alternations towards her machinery, she was able to proceed to the Port of Birch to load in passengers and proceed to her maiden voyage. She departed at around 1:00 pm and sail for the Port of Kostovoka in North Grim. Hogaria III was on board the ship to see how his ship will perform. Konigreich sailed to her destination for 5 days without any circumstances.
The ship recieved many positive reviews because if the performance she holds, they praised the ships great handling and a comfortable cruising. This further escalate the Ocean Liner competition on the Great Country. Countries such as The Kingdom of Desert, North Grim, Republic of Crafitanya and Questintonia immediately laid down new Ocean Liners that can compete against Konigreich.
Mid Career
Königreich spent 32 months of her career as what she was intended to be served. She was to be beaten by the other eastern Ocean Liners being built against her but th outbreak of the 1st War of Coalitions led to the delay of the Ocean Liners to the east, thus only the Questintonian Ocean Liner SS Grandrock Road was able to head toe to toe against Konigreich. Since The Sovereign Kingdom was neutral, The participants of the war gave them the permission to evacuate Sovereign Citizens on the area. Konigreich along with other Ocean Liners of the company (specifically 7) was sent for the evacuation. They were able to evacuate an estimate of 12,000 Sovereign Citizens after the 5 weeks long evacuation.
After the war, Konigreich resumed her usual route and was able to continue her career in peace. After her 7 years of peacetime career the 2nd War of Coalitions broke out again in the East and Konigreich and 9 Ocean Liners was once again sent to the east to retrieve the Sovereign Citizens. Because of the Critical situation on the West, The Company decided to reroute her from Mariana to the far west on the Port of Bordeval where she spent her career during the war.
The Great War of Coalitions
When the Sovereign Kingdom entered the war in 1817, The King himself ordered to seize 4 of his Ocean Liners to be converted into Troop Ships, Konigreich included. This is the first military service of Konigreich. Konigreich recieved conversion in early may and was completed late on the same month. She begin ferrying troops from Birch Harbor to Sanistan port of Arche de Marie. As the war progress', Konigreich continued to ship troops to the West presumably to her usual route ports. After the war, She was able to return back to her usual schedule.
Later on, Konigreich spent most of her career in peace with the Sovereign Kingdom being in isolation policies again. She was able to make more profit for OWG as the years progress.
Post War period to Pre Civil War event
In the span of 88 years of peaceful career, Konigreich experienced many events already in Great Country at the time. In her 34th Year, Konigreich starts to age but was saved by the Equestrian Technique called Rumpfreinigung which enables the ship to keep itself intact and prolonged it's life. Still, Konigreich suffered some mechanical problems later on especially to her propulsion. She was later then recieve new steam machineries for her propulsion.
When her designer, Hogaria III, died in 1903, a memorial was hold on board of Konigreich which became the living memorial later of Hogaria III. Konigreich is also the last ship still in service that was designed by Hogaria III himself. Later on *Konigreich was awarded with more decorations as a memorial to those who served on board him and other famous and memorable people.
Sovereign Civil War
When the Sovereign Civil War broke out, the economy of Equestria was stopped because of this as their activities on the west was disputed. It wasn't really a big factor for Konigreich as she was serving in her route towards the east. Since the beginning of the war, Konigreich was still serving on her udual route. Some of her fleet mates however were disputed on their activities as they were serving on the west, some of them were able to retain their usual service as they were reroute but the others were used as barracks ships.
In March 25, 1912, Konigreich was attacked by a Scandinovian torpedo boat which resulted to the death of 90 people and wounded 200, It was also known as The Konigreich Incident. This enraged the whole OWG and the Equestrian Government itself because Konigreich at the time was clearly serving at her Civilian lines and theres no indication that she was serving for the military. The Konigreich Incident boosted the morale of the Equestrian Forces to avenge the victims on board, Konigreich however was suspended for 3 months to be repaired. A prayer meeting was hold on board while being repaired for the victims of the Incident.
When the war turned into the favor of the Triple Alliance in 1914, most of the serviceable ships were turned into Troopships to fill the missing spots, this includes Konigreich. She recieved her modifications later that year and finished on August the same year. Konigreich didn't have any armaments on her first conversion, this time she was armed with 2x 1 inch Guns Fore and Aft and 4x machine guns. Her modifications allowed her to transport an additional amount of 1,000 soldiers totalling to 4,000 (a thousand from away from her past modifications which is only 3,000).
Konigreich begin loading troops and sail towards the vicinity of Scandinovia Coasts for the Amphibious Operations. She was in full service till the end of the war. During the war, she was able to transport 12,000 men both in and out of the battlefield. After the war, she was awarded with 2 battle stars and a merit from the crown, she was finally struck out from the Navy and was returned back to her company. Plans to retire her were presented, but the current CEO, the president of the company and the public were able to dismiss the case and put her to purification works and continue her service for the company. Soon, in December 1821, Konigreich returned back to her usual service route. Her arrival once again attracted many tourists making her the top priority of the OWG. Since then, OWG made Konigreich the Flagship of the company.

The public refused to retire Konigreich, among the ones who left a review was the current King of Equestria Viscount Spee I. She sustained minor damage which were repaired quickly after she was removed from the shallow areas. Konigreich returned later the same month.
In September 2040, Viscount Spee I made his last foreign visit to Republic of Crafitanya.
