A 12-gauge shotgun outfitted with a pistol grip stock, barrel shroud, and polymer furniture. It complements the existing K-21 (Mk 2) and K-19 (Mk 1) shotguns. Like submachine guns, they are issued to NCOs, grenadiers, sentries, special forces, and vehicle crews. In addition, they are issued to pointmen, where they are loaded with slug-and-buck, a combination of a slug and some buckshot in order to provide a compromise between the range slugs provide and the spread buckshot provides. They are also issued with steel birdshot in order to breach doorways and for riot duty; birdshot would be aimed at the pavement in front of protestors, ricocheting into them in order to reduce energy to less-lethal energies and increase the spread. In addition, it can fire CS gas, beanbag, and rubber rounds.

In addition to these roles, field units issued shotguns loaded with birdshot to soldiers who were bird hunters or trap shooters in order to delfect incoming grenades. Known as "anti-grenadiers", they are placed in regular points in the line in order to maximize protection. Based on units known to have anti-grenadiers in their ranks compared to those who lack them, the anti-grenadiers have prevented grenade-based casualties by 50-75%, or approximately 120,000 men. The Paternian Army is in the process of officially incorporating anti-grenadiers into the shotgun training regimen.
