The HESJ 004 Raptor is a medium attack helicopter designed to supply the necessity for a more nimble and precent CAS to ground troops
History
The HESJ 004 was designed in 1992 after the army petition for a attack helicopter capable of shot-mid range operations to counter enemy APC, IFV and MBT or any other type of ground targets.
Notable actions on combat
1) In the hands of the lieutenant Jans Strich on an HESJ 004 destroyed 12 enemy vehicles and one anti-aircraft position (guns, radar and supply trucks) and came back home whit 128 bullet holes trough all the fuselage.
2) in 2003 one pilot in its Raptor was shot down on a mountain environment, the rescue team was on the way, but the enemies were closer, due the crash site was on a cliff the only way to get to the crash site was a small path, the pilot held down his position using the turret that was still working until it ran out of ammo when the rescue team arrived, the path was cover on body's, unfortunately the pilot was found KIA whit 86 bullet on his body
