I have posted a nicely flying example/concept made out of simple blocks and stock parts. Taking this concept as a reference, you have to rebuild it in a realistic way as much as you can. You can make it 1940s looks with radial engines, or a modern one with turboprops, up to you as far as it looks and feels real and believable. No minimum part limits but do not exceed more than 1200 parts. A VR cockpit is welcome.
THIS IS A REBUILD CHALLENGE!
I have sketched some concept for you.
Rules:
THIS IS A REBUILD challenge! not every Seaplane will be accept.
1) Must be a successor (download this and start building on it)
2) Around 200-300 parts is great. But not more than 1200 parts, No Minimum.
3) You must build a real looking seaplane based on the example.
4) NO meme, egg planes will be considered for the prize, but you can build.
5) Extra points for wise and creatively used parts
6) 3 entries per person (only the best one will count for the prize. But all of them may get upvotes+spotlight if they are great)
7) XML editing is encouraged, but no modding, please
RATING SYSTEM
The overall rating will be judged from the mean of the points below.
* Overall Looks and details, proportion: 0-10 pts
* Aircraft livery: 0-10 pts
* Inflight Performance: 0-10 pts.
* Takeoff and landing : 0-10 pts.
* Notable use of parts, XML, custom functions, funky trees, etc. : 0-10 pts
* VR Cockpit: 0-10 pts
Deadline; April 15th, 2025
12:00 PM New York Time
Awards
The top 3 people will get: 9 upvotes & 3 spots
Suppose you won the challenge, but if you do not have enough planes in your collection to upvote, then I can't help, sorry. I do not use multiple accounts to upvote. EVERY DECENT BUILD WILL GET AN UPVOTE, and Good ones will get a SPOT ONCE UPON UPLOAD.
I may follow you if I am interested in your work.
ALL POSTS MUST BE A SUCCESSOR
So far, these are super cool planes from this challenge, check them out!

@Dragoranos How free to modify the design?
1) must be a seaplane
2) with pusher props over the wings
3) the main hall will be used for flotation, with two pontoons under the wings for balance. It must not be a float plane (like floats attached to a land plane).
3) can be a medium or small as far as it looks believable
4) can be a design from WW2-era to modern-day design
5) any livery, civilian or military
I am spotlighting the good ones right away!
@DwiAngkasaAeronautics Posted your plane as a leading example!
Don't mind if I do
@MonsNotTheMonster no, landing gear is on your own
Do I really need to replicate even its landing gear positions or no?
@WinsWings I am doing a retry.
@Yourlocalhuman okay
Is it okay if i modify it in between the eras? (Cold war)
@DwiAngkasaAeronautics contra-props are fine, as far as it is in a pusher configuration
Is it better to be as close as the example or can i use contraprop config? Or both of them dont affect the points?
@PaintBrushSP yes,, that's the challenge
@WinWings Last thing, strictly only pusher prop seaplane instead of normal turboprop engine?
@PaintBrushSP Please stick with the props for this challenge. I don't want to alter the rules once it is set. Thanks
I can't decide if the WWII style is a recon aircraft or a torpedo bomber. I might just do both.
@WinsWings Is multi surface and jet powered engine allowed like beriev be-200 which both can land on water and Ground?
Some ideas to work on:
Rohrbach Ro.v
Loire et Olivier LeO 242
(4 engines should be allowed, no?)
@DwiAngkasaAeronautics it's okay
can i add guns?
@WinsWings

Also, how free we are to modify the design?
ill see if i can do it
@Johnnyynf its fine,
this will help me practice for the floatplane that i have planned.
I maybe interested, but would like to use piston engine like this which would require LimitlessSpin.
Could that still be within the rule?
@WinsWings ah sorry, not so much interested
me currently working on ww2 soviet plane (o woew, another one yes)...
