Must have been an awesome experience! @Flash0of0green
@Mustang51 cape coral/ FL at a historical air show 15 years ago, can't remember the specific B-17. I remember that it had had a Killroy nose art though.
@ChiChiWerx yeah I told him it has four. The way you wrote your post makes it sound like you’re saying it doesn’t have four or two engines.
@Mustang51 me thinks you misunderstand...there was a comment a bit lower down in which a player commented that he had seen a twin engine B-24...I think they had mixed up the B-24 with the B-25.
That’s awesome! In which B-17 did you fly and in what country/city? @Flash0of0green
@Mustang51 i got the chance to ride i a B-17 once.
@ChiChiWerx what are you talking about? The B-24 always (as far as I know) had four engines. It sounds like you’re saying it didn’t or am I misunderstanding you?
@ChiChiWerx ok that's what I was thinking of
@MrPorg137 @Flash0o0Green Looks like a B-17, kinda flies like a B-17, four engines, yup, just like a B-17...also like a B-24! Imagine that! The B-24 never, ever had 4 engines and there were never late war refits with 2 engines. The twin engine, twin tail, high wing U.S. bomber in WWII was the B-25, which is probably the plane you’re thinking of.
The reason why the plane pitches down is probably because the doors are on trim control, when you move the slider up (nose down), plane pitches down.
wow this is better than my B-17!
@Mustang51 wait then which bomber had 2 engines. Was it the mosquito
