The FN-2 "Delta Defender" is based on several experimental Delta-Winged Interceptors from the mid-1950s (XF-92, F-102, F-106). The intended role for the Delta Interceptor is to steeply race at supersonic speeds to high altitudes, and neutralize a potential nuclear bomber threat. The FN-2 carries 2 air-to-air guided missiles, and two nose-mounted .50 Caliber Machine Guns. Its small fuel capacity limits it solely to short range hit-and-run sprints. Large control surfaces and centered COG trade off stability for agility. Buttons 1 and 2 release the missiles.
