He-205 Hubbard

300k WinsWings  one month ago

It was the closing days of WW-2, and Germany launched it's latest fighter bomber/ ground attack plane, powered by two Heinkel HeS 0101 turboprop engines driving the 5 bladed propellers. Hubbard became the first fighter equipped with such engines instead of traditional piston engines. As a result, it reached the top speed of 350 mph (560 km/hr) and could outrun some Allied fighters of its time.

The main armament is the powerful 40 mm MG FF/M cannon, which is very effective for medium and light armored vehicles and surface targets.
