@F104Deathtrap thanks!
Awwww yeah!
@BusterShortWolf dope gravatar lol
Ww1 planes are making a comeback! Nice!
@F4f879 Yes I was going to say that there were only a very few fitted with Lewis guns above the wing.
@SgtRXMT awesome! tag me on smth if u need help btw
@F4f879 aha i see
@Tang0five thank you very much! means a lot that you like it :)
@SgtRXMT just play with it and it'll end up being close enough to correct.
@Zoowarp @wonkapilot very few of these bristols were fitted with a foster mounting; however, not all were so I decided to leave that out.
"Attempts to add one or two Foster mounted Lewis guns to the Bristol Fighter were not successful. Among other problems, the mounting caused interference with the pilot's compass, which was mounted on the trailing edge of the upper wing, a difficulty which persisted even when the mounting was offset to starboard"
@wonkapilot aaah ok
@Zoowarp the Vickers was in the engine cowling and fired through the radiator. And yes, it did have a Lewis gun on top of the wing.
Just a quick thought - didn't the F.2B have a Lewis gun mounted on the top of the wing that could point upwards and a forward facing Vickers above the engine cowling? Might be wrong and I can't run this design anyway to see if you have added it or not but just a thought.
Bloomin’ marvellous! Making one of these myself and there’s no way I’ll get as good a cockpit (or build even!) Having stared at blueprints all night long this looks pretty bang on. The biff is an all time favourite of mine and it’s grand to see it replicated so well!
@SgtRXMT honestly, i have no idea why. it just gave me a semi realistic output lol
@switdog08 thank you!
30th updoot
@F4f879 yeah that’s probably a lot simpler to make
@Mustang51 youre probably right lol, i just used a single static reference image for the se5 compass and assumed its function
@F4f879 yeah it’s a hard one to make. Also doesn’t the arrow on the compass on the SE5 stay still while the disk with directions move? I could be wrong but that’s how I thought it worked on that one
@Mustang51 glad you like it! and yeah the compass i just reused from my SE5a because i was having a hard time recreating the bristol's compass accurately
This is real neat! It’s pretty much exactly like the F.2B (except for the compass but that’s just one small detail). Lovely job!
