FF-4 "Musket"
The FF-4 was originally designed as a trainer aircraft, however, as [Imaginary Country]'s position in [Imaginary War] deteriorated, the Air Force was forced (ha) to develop the craft into a fighter. It was fitted with more powerful engines, a pair of old-ish 30mm cannons, and slightly modified wings, which allowed for higher stress and the addition of rocket racks on 3 hardpoints a side. Unsurprisingly, the craft was subpar in relation to it's contemporaries.
One pilot, one of few with a recorded air kill in the FF-4, has been quoted as saying that using it "is like fighting sniper rifles with a musket, and you can't get close," earning it a nickname. The green tail markings denote this model as one of the squadron she was from, though it is not known whether this is the specific plane she flew.
A couple of things to note about this plane:
1. All thrust is actually provided by those VTOL engines, cause inlets are ugly. Those big fat jets are just there for looks.
2. The paint on the tail tends to bug out when viewed from behind.
