KSS Arnold Schwertven (LHP-10), was an amphibious assault ship and the lead ship of the Arnold Schwertven Class amphibious assault ship. She was built for the Royal Equestrian Navy and served for the Royal Sovereign Navy before she was sunk at the Battle of Great Sea during the 2nd Great War.

According to sources, Arnold Schwertven's design was an enlarged and re-designed version of Seewärter Class which was decommissioned four years before Arnold Schwertven's commissioning. Arnold Schwertven's main purpose is to maximize amphibious support via the Drehflügler-Doktrin.

Development

The Seewärter Class were the most oldest Landing Helicopter Assault in the Royal Equestrian Navy. Admirals have passed paperworks and authorization to the Government and the Royal Family to allow them to renew the and replace the old Class of LHAs. Since the Government and the Royal Family has adopted the "Politik der Nichteinmischung", they found no reason to give approval and replacing the LHAs. Soon, they have decided that it's necessary to replace them due to old age so authorization was given to them three years after the request has been turned down.

Arnold Schwertven was mostly an enlarged version of the class they succeed. With enlarged aviation facilities and larger man power is the main strong point of the class.

Landing Helicopter Assault is one of the types of Amphibious Assault Ships. Landing platform helicopter (LPH) is a term used by some navies to denote a type of amphibious warfare ship designed primarily to operate as a launch and recovery platform for helicopters and other VTOL aircraft. As such, they are considered a type of helicopter carrier.

The role of Landing Helicopter Assault in Great Country doesn't differ from the Seven Continents. The only difference they got is the aircraft there carried and the men they carried. They carry only helicopters and most of the men they carried are Pilots who are part of Navy's Land Detachment (or equivalent to Marines in US Navy).

Service History

Construction and Shakedown

Arnold Schwertven was laid down in Badische Shipyards somewhere in 2071 and launched somewhere in 2074. She was sponsored by Prinz Augustus, the grand-grandson of Graf Arnold Schwertven von Savoy. She was commisioned in November 8 2075 Schmaler Block Naval Shipyard, she was commanded by Captain Harter Fels.

She left Herz aus Stahl in December 6 to proceed for her shakedown. She officially started in December 12, she conducts air reconnaissance, anti-submarine patrols and rapid mobilization with her helicopters. She stopped her shakedown in December 20 in order for crew to celebrate Christmas and New Year. She was docked at her homeport. She resumed her shakedown in January 15 2076 and finished it in March 27.
