USS Clemson Delta was the lead ship of its class, more commonly called Delta-Class destroyers, to not confuse with the Clemson-Class destroyers of 1918.
Armed with 4x2 127mm dual purpose guns, they posed a threat to opposing naval air forces as they too were soon mass produced like the Fletchers and can be seen nearly in every task force just like their predecessors.
