P-47 Turbobolt

It looks like dieselpunk, but it's not. By the end of 1944, the US Air Force actually considered putting an Allison J35 turbojet in the Thunderbolt airframe, so they would have their own Me-262. The plane was never built, but if it had been it might have looked a bit like this. I added a few BK 3.7-ish pods, just to make it fun for ground attacks. Happy new year!

That would have been a cool design to see in real life, it would probably have been super slow though.

The yak-36 wants to know its location
@Hedero sounds like a plan. We can start the Jugoslavian air force ;)
@SimplyPlain if you can think of something else do let me know!
Lol I was actually planning on uploading the same thing. But I was going to call it a Thunderjug.@SimplyPlain
@Mustang51 Sure, no problem... it was the only way, I guess.
@SimplyPlain no problem! I didn’t realise I had one aircraft left to spotlight hahaha. Are you okay with your reward for the challenge?
@Mustang51 Gracias!!
Finally!!! Why did no one think of this before?
Love the P47 as a plane so making it a jet just seems right. Love it!
This is a pretty cool concept! Nice build
Vhy not . Great build .
